July 21-27, 2007 "The sign of God is that you will be led where you did not plan to go." - St. John Baptist de la Salle Ok so i really put this off but here i go.. Saturday July 21- I was really sad and scared to leave for minnesota.. i mean i love my mom and my friends i didnt want to not sse them for a week.. so the night before i was up all night packing i slept like 2 hours if at all cuz when i finally went to sleep i couldnt it was 4 then when i did i woke up at 6 lol so we left at 8.. it was soo sad sarah and her mom and sus was there and i had my sunglasses on to hide the tears.. christy came with her parents then anne.. it was sad... we left.. i spilled fruit punch on my pillow.. it was sad.. red stain all week.. any way drove to St. Pats. picked up the boys.. marty.. zac.. franky..nick.. matt.. it was kinda weird at first.. me and anne had to sit together the whole ride.. but it was fine.. i tried to read summer reading but i only read 30 pages and like it took me a long time to read that.. so we stoped for gas a bunchca times.. taco bell in wisconsin sells cheese curds lol.. and ate mcdonalds.. i had chicken selects lol.. wisconsin was long.. it took us 8 and a half hours to get there.. the last 45 mins we were lost in the getto of minneapolis.. lol we saw a bum fight and a drug deal.. lol the window were open and christy goes.. "it smells like fried chicken we must be in the getto".. lol when we get there theres kids out front and we had to carry our stuff around.. and i had SOO much stuff.. i had to dragg my suitcase upstairs.. i felt like a mule or donkey or something.. lol so we went to the girls hall way and we were the second class room and the right.. i put my bed by an outlet cuz im smart like that.. lol.. we shared our room with girls from cretin-durim high schoool in minnesota.. they we nice.. so i unpacked and blew up my bed.. it was kinda funn actually..lol we had dinner at 530.. in line it was dark an di was kinda sad.. i think i cried a little uz i was home sick.. we sat with the st.pats boys.. they we nice about it.. haha me and anne went to go get adrink and i sat down at her place and started eating her food.. .lol.. soo funny.. then we had a welcome thing in the gym.. roll call.. then we went in our small groups.. i was in annes.. we went down by the river.. it was an ammmazing view.. we sat on rocks.. there was a fest going on.. it was so cool.. we played games and got to no each other.. thats when i knew i was gonna be ok.. we played a fruit game.. vroom.. truth truth lie.. talked about why were here and our schools.. it was cool we basically did icebreakers fir an hour and a half.. the we had mass.. it was soo cool the bread was like huge thick brown pita bread the they tore apart.. then there were fireworks.. prolly one of the best i ever saw.. target did them so there was alot of target signs.. it was cool.. then we talked about our day in our school groups.. we were under the stairs in chairs i stole... lol lights went out at 1130.. but i couldnt sleep.. luckly we all stayed up and talked... lol we played 10 fingers... eventually we went to sleep.. it was like ice cold!!!.. i was freezing!! i dont think christy did tho.. (everyone eventually had a homesick time.. mine was that dinner... i think christy's was in the middle of the night.. lol she was texting her boy toy jason and asking for plane tickets home.. lol) Sunday July 22- So breakfast was in the lobby thing anne and i ate together with sus out side.. lol half a bagel and something else.. prayer in the gym.. then community building in the gym.. it was a blast... basically a ton of games... first we had to write a story in our small group using words they gave us... ours was about brett farv.. another groups was like and the car got stuck on tom cruises dik-dik.. haha i guess u had to be there.. then the gave us a word and all the small groups had to sing a song of at least 10 words with that word in it.. later we played clumps.. it was intense.. plus everyone was playing face tag as well... lol then we played this game were if u applied to the thing u had to move over so many chairs.. thus making u have to sit on peoples lapss.. lol so awkward but funn.. all the people there were nice so it wasnt really weird like it would be at driscoll.. then we played if u were my neighbor.. my favorite.. frankie was like if u were my neighbor u saw a bum fight yesterday.. lol it was funny.. then we got on the dc bus and went to tortino grace.. lol it was just like driscoll... it was creepy.. had lunch.. anne told me why shes a vegatarian.. then we had to sit through a presentation.. Br. Michael told us "what it means to be lasallian" he basically said stuff about touching hearts.. like u touch teachers hearts and they touch urs.. i dunno it was really good but a little too long i had a VERy hard time keeping my eyes open even tho i like what he said.. then we had 2 break out sessions... the first one was my favorite it was with this lady whos a teacher and taught at san migeal in like new york or something for 2 years and now teaches in minnesota.. and like the stuff she said was soo cool.. like that she hopes we find those true friends that u really click with cuz she wasted too much time just tring to fit in.. then she found her friends and she said there are always more out there.. it was cool.. any way then we had this brother who is like in charge of everything and he said theres no brothers that are under the age of 45.. thats sad.. then we all had this presentation on global lasallians.. each small group had to do some place.. we had the balitmore district.. we had a break before dinner while othe rpeople had to work before dinner and had a break after... there was dogeball but they were like playing with vollyballs and basketballs so me and anne were like no thanks!.. we were cold so we went out side.. we talked for a while like about cross country and stuff.. later we walked around the inside of the school a couple times.. i lost a 20 dollar bill :/.. o well.. then we had dinner.. then we were in the comp lab and did our thing.. i went on MYSPACE!!.. it was pretty sweet!.. other people were on their facebooks lol.. we didnt put a lot of effort into our presentations.. so we sat a round for a while anne and i were sitting next to each other and we were talking to christy and sus and chris came up and like rubbed me and annes backs.. it was funny aand awkward ... sus was like all defensive.. lol then we went back in the auditorium and everyone presented. haha everyones was soo good they did like tv shows news blues clues.. we didnt have anything planned so we went last and tim just did shadow puppets while we talked hahah it was hilarous tho and it worked.. lol prayer servic ethen we went back to De La Salle and had meetings in our school groups.. under the stairs on the dirty floor.. lol then lights out.. lol well not really.. lol Monday July 23 Breakfast.. prayer.. presentation on the history of St. John Baptist De Lasalle.. lol it was interesting.. a little long tho cuz i was soo tired.. small group time.. we walked down by a river.. a bunch of bridges.. sat on like this outdoor stage thing.. it was soo cool.. talked about why were here.. talked about the service we were gonna do in the next few days.. played this hand game thing.. it was funn.. then walked close by the river.. there was this little boy filming a movie thing for an oprah.. lol it was cool.. talked then eventually walked back.. groups left for service sites but we got like an hour break before we had to leave.. i made phone calls and relaxed.. it was pretty sweet.. thenwe went on a hot bus to second harvest.. took pics outside while we waited for the guy.. all the groups had to work in the same room with out air conditioning.. but we had "conections and go to go in this private room with air-conditioning.. packed up boxes of food.. lots of rules but tons of fun.. it was hard to get rid of some much expired food tho.. but if it was vegatarian it went to pigs.. lol yeah a lot of fun.. and a bonding experience.. music as playing and we were ALL singing.. lol just when me and anne were getting the hang of making the box weigh 45-50 pounds we had to leave.. waited a while for the bus then got home had a little free time so me and anne took a shower cuz i was sweating.. (lol i no its gross but i didnt wash my hair cuz it was straight... lol).. dinner.. talked about our day in small groups.... we wnet outside in the back.. there we saw like this place-maybe the rectory-that looked like the line for the haunted mansion.. so we sat on the steps of the church.. talked.. played some games.. tried to play big booty.. they sing it different up there.. the guys werent really into it.. tried to play other games like fingerfencing and slow motion ninja.. lol fun games.. then we went by christys group and challenge them to Red Rover.. lol i was next to anne and chris.. lol of coarse the first girl cathy from montini goes right between me and anne.. well me and anne who dont remember plaing this game when we were younger help on tight and she ran and hit me soooooooooooo hard in my arm with her face.. my arm killed for 2 days lol. i thought she tore my muscle off the bonelol.. any way she got up and looked like she was gonna cry lol she was bleading pretty bad from the lip lol.. anyway our team won by alot we took soo many people and they didnt take any one from our team.. another girl ran into our side and fell and everyone stared and laughed.. the last person ran in between me and anne and we let go on acident.. my arm was so sore ya no.. lol any way we had to go in so it didnt matter then at 9:00 there was a christian rapper.. lol it was funny.. he taught us dances to go wit.. everyone was dancing.. the st. pats boys werent then christy didnt want to so me and anne sat with them and watched.. i danced a little cuz it was funn and everyone was nice.. lol sarah was really into it.. i did really like the lyrics and what he was saying.. one of his songs was sprincle sunshine on each other and that was the dance move.. lol another was about a friend of his who was anerexic and othe girls that have weight issues and it was like i am beautiful.. i really liked that one.. another i like was like peace justice love mercy walk humbly with our god.. this guy was such a good beat boxer.. he was cool.. lol he taught us about agape... anyway so then we had our school group meeting and the st. pats lady was busy planning their prayer service or something so they had a meeting with us.. wenwent in the eating place and sat around a round table.. had some drinks lol.. the boys were so emo then they were homesick and sad.. it was funny for me.. they left the girls talked room.. lights out but not really.. lol Im gonna finish later.. lol maybe... haha I LOVE MY FRIENDS: x0 k0dak m0ment (11:43:11 PM): We should start a show with sus
